It was good to have the support and the chance to ask questions and work on solutions to problems with fitting the bag.
Because of COVID things were a bit disjointed at the start but Mandy did call when I was in the hospital to make an appointment. The appointment was for the Thursday but I came out on the Monday leaving me with no support for a few days. This gap was supposed to be filled by the district nurses but no referral was made by the QE hospital.
It was a relief to see Mandy to clarify what the next steps were and receive reassurance.

I found Mandy very good indeed in every respect of my stoma nursing. I am now almost completely familiar with all aspects of my condition and am satisfied with everything she has done for me. She has even been able to help me with general questions about Urology. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Mandy listened to me I was surprised how much she could relate to my problems a bit like taking a magic pill giving me such a lot of confidence feel I am coming to depend on Mandy there isn’t anybody I can talk to about my problem so she gives so much confidence hope we can continue to keep our consultations going for quite a time

I have been a qualified nurse for 30 years, working as a Specialist Nurse for the last 10 years in Stoma Care, Urology and Functional Bowel Issues. This has given me a wealth of expert knowledge in Specialist Practice.
I have worked in the NHS, Private and Community Settings. This enables me to offer high quality individualised holistic patient care. Acting with care and empathy and treating everyone with dignity and respect.
I work in the Birmingham area supporting Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust and Birmingham Heartlands NHS Trust supporting NHS staff and District Nursing Services. Providing a seamless transition from hospital to home.
