Katie is excellent in her work as a Uro-oncology nurse. She is helpful with all my questions about my treatment, health and medication no matter how trivial some of them must seem. She is always there at my consultations whether this be in Preston or Chorley hospitals. She is always prompt to answer my phone / emails queries. To highlight just one of her many caring ways she addressed one of my difficulties; Katie arranged a same day HOME appointment with my GP to save me the trip of an hospital visit.

In our first meeting Katie was informative, respectful and engaging in her aim to get the best care for me. She showed empathy and understanding for the difficulties I discussed with her. She could admit when she did not know and showed a reassuring ability to ask the Consultant for guidance which helpfully changed my care plan. My on going contact with Katie as a Special nurse has been very helpful as she goes out of her way to co-ordinate and liaise with other departments to get my problems resolved. Its been very reassuring to have Katie as my Specialist nurse as she responds to my emails in a timely manner and offers guidance of the best way forward. Thanks so much Katie.
