I had been in a road traffic accident in 2013, and I was admitted in North Middlesex Hospital surgical ward where I met Nicole as the ward manager. During my stay in Surgical 2, I was looked after by great nurses who had been so caring and kind. But, there was a challenge when I was going to be discharged as I live out-of-area (Enfield-Haringey). But, I needed all the support because I suffered a bad spine injury from the accident. When I spoke to the Occupational Therapists, I was informed that it would take awhile before things could get done. But, I am so grateful as to how quickly Nicole made sure that what I needed at home specially the support from carers were done in a less time than anticipated. I remember how Nicole was helpful and caring she had been to my needs prior my discharge and she personally took responsibility to ensure that all the arrangement for my discharge was done. She never made me felt judged when asking the most personal questions relevant to my needs and she took her time when talking to me. She was also great at listening to my concerns and offering me for a psychology support was a great help because at that time I could not bear the fact that I might not be able to walk again due to my injury and that I could be losing the life I had. To me, Nicole had been a good listener with a good heart to help people. Her staffs' caring and kind attitude reflects her good management, above all, she was not judgmental which I am so grateful of.
