Seen promptly when I arrived at out of hours.

The Dr I saw did not introduce himself to me and acted as though he’d rather be somewhere else. He proceeded to try and remove a stitch in my abdomen whilst I was standing, leaving me twice to get scissors/tweezers whilst I was stood quite exposed with the door left open.

The staff were very helpful. I was advised not to use the prescribed antibiotics unless they were necessary but as the infection began to spread up my arm I had to use them.

Once I got past the clinicians protector (receptionist) the experience was exceptional. Friendly, professional, helpful, considerate; I could not ask for more.

Restrict the involvement of the receptionist in diagnosis. In my 71 years this was my first visit to a MIU and as the pain and mobility issue I was experiencing made me think I must have broken the big toe on my right foot I don’t think it was appropriate to have to fight my case in a public area with the receptionist. Once passed the Rottweiler everything went smoothly and met my expectations.

Find more polite reception staff and communicate with people waiting in reception. Also reception staff should not speak so loudly so everyone can hear.

Really lovely staff who clearly take pride in their work and provide a kind, caring and professional service. I felt very looked after throughout my visit.

I don't think there was anything that could have been done any better.
