My wife took a bad fall after a bad hypo and ended up breaking her right coller bone very badly. The service she recieved, was nothing other than first class. Yes, she did have a long wait, but was constantly checked by staff as she is type 1 Diabetic. Everyone from Doctors to Cleaners were so kind and I cannot thank them enough for their kindness. We are SO LUCKY to have people like this to look after us! 10?`0!

I am a complex IBD patient and I have met nothing but the most awful care from this hospital for the last two years. I recently spent some time on a surgical ward and I met combative and rude staff, I was made to wait for more than 12hrs at a time for pain medication. It has given me genuine PTSD. I fully believe if my care continues under this hospital I will lose my life.

Came into A and E with a severed and broken finger. Expected to wait in A and E but was quite long bleeding and not sure what to do, kind helpful receptionist. Once in A and E department everyone was lovely, kind quick and helpful. Appointment to day surgery in 2 days, no idea what to expect and slight confusion over anaesthetic or local but great tea and sandwiches when decision made. Long wait but worth it to get Mr Miller and team for surgery, and lovely Nurse Cheryl who help my other hand! Just been back to fracture clinic (letters and calls to give information, so efficient) Promised to give Nurse Scott Nelson a mention as he says no one ever does and he was kind and attentive and gentle. Mr MacDonald pulled a pin out and couldn’t have been nicer or more efficient ! There is so much bad press around the NHS and my experience was so very positive I really wanted to share it and say thank you to a great dedicated group of people.

I recently had surgery, I was admitted via day surgery, here the staff were friendly and understanding, i felt relaxed before my operation which meant everything to me. Even staff that were not involved in my care stopped to chat while walking past. Theatre staff are angels in disguise as far as I am concerned, often forgotten about in the feedback process. I want to thank every one of the theatre staff who were involved in my surgery, I really do owe you great thanks for seeing me safely through the surgery. This thanks extends to the staff in recovery. I was transferred to ward 13, here I was immediately made to feel safe and comfortable and more importantly an update was given to my husband. I was kept in for 2 nights and I can honestly say that all bands of staff were involved in my care from the ward manager Pauline to student nurses and CSWs, all of which were friendly, caring and compassionate and most of all made me feel safe. I cannot thank the staff enough.

My partner was sent to AMRU by his GP in late August 2022. The staff were amazing in this unit. We were then taken to ward 18 and my partner was under the care of Mr Komolafe who was an amazing surgeon. Every single member of staff were so nice and professional, from porters, domestic HCAs nurses and doctors. The palliative care nurse was amazing with both my partner and I and got us moved quickly to the hospice to allow my partner and I time together and for him to have a peaceful dignified death. Unfortunately my partner and Love of my life passed away on 13.9.22. He had 19 days from diagnosis to death. Thank you so much to the staff. I am a nurse myself and cannot fault the care we were given. Thank you
