From reception staff through to ward nurses, staff at Winfield Hospital always show care and compassion, making a visit, whether long or short, more comfortable than to other medical facilities in the county. The admission procedure was handled efficiently and I was immediately shown to my room without having to wait elsewhere in the building. The care given during the procedure was of an equal standard with friendly smiles and continual enquiries as to whether I was comfortable during the whole of my stay which put me at ease.
The only slight critical suggestion I would make is with regard to the discharge procedures which were somewhat haphazard. Not being able to drive following discharge I was obliged to arrange for a taxi to take me home. Due to the length of the journey it was necessary for me to telephone some time in advance to arrange my collection which was delayed for some time following the original estimated time advised. This was as a result of the pressure of work on the staff handling the discharges of the patients who are not to be criticised personally - perhaps the procedure could be better organised ? Thankyou to all the staff on duty on 1st September 2022.

I have never visited a nicer hospital! Every single staff member I encountered was lovely, friendly, kind, patient & would stop & chat. My room was clean, bright & comfortable. The food was good. The best hospital experience I have ever had.

I honestly loved having my surgery at The Winfield hospital. The staff were so helpful and friendly, I felt more like it was a spa day! The room was spacious, immaculate and the food was fantastic.

Great team, this was during Covid-19. So difficult circumstances.
I was nervous, they were reassuring.
And their professional approach instilled confidence in the team.

Efficient administration. Kind and thoughtful nurses. Clean and tidy, a good reflection on the many staff working in the background to keep everything running smoothly. Good communication and follow up. Reassured on discharge that I could call if needed help when I got home.

i had a fantastic experience at the Winfield if i had any slight complaints the food seemed a bit samey but the quality was very good
