The staff where friendly and welcoming supplying a good level of info throughout, however we where disappointed in the attention to detail. We where concerned that the birth plan was not read and felt awkward mentioning that she did not want a male midwife or students at time of labour, why have a birth plan if its not going to be acknowledged and used where possible. We also felt that labour was drawn out by administering pethadine prior to examination which would have perhaps led to another form of pain relief as she was already at 10cm when this was given. A 3rd degree tear also occured and when asked why a small cut was not carried out it was not clear why this did not happen as alot of the signs where there, First vaginal birth/induced/second stage of labour was longer/baby was at a slightly funny angle. I fully understand that this is not common practice but some clear explanation would of helped. Overall the experience will not be forgotten very quickly.
Staff friendly both catering and nursing staff but ward is very short staffed.
The staff from consultant through domestic staff were professional and empathetic and showed great kindness to both myself and family during my week long stay with them
My only criticism is concerning the catering which although varied, over cooked and salty
The care and attention received on this ward has been excellent. The Doctors and staff are very attentive and friendly. They explain fully the condition and always prepared to answer questions and concerns. Overall looked after very well and definitely have no complaints
All the staff are lovely and I felt very looked after being on this ward. I can't think of any suggestions as I feel the staff are doing a great job already.
My time here has been amazing .every member of staff have been more than willing to do anything I have asked of them ... My recovery in hospital was only 1 week , after an accident that left me with very bad injuries ... And I'm sure that was partly due to the way the staff where towards me .... Thay all have a happy and positive attitude ... My only winge is the pitch of the buzzer tha is used to call a member of staff..... Apart than that my stay has been a very pleasant expireance .. Thanks to every member of staff that have helped me to recover..... Any
