Paediatric A/E on 27/2 -senior staff including the sister Miranda did not introduce themselves, were too busy in sorting out the computer and tea breaks than the patient (child) or parent experience. The conduct was brisk and at times remarked by other parents as 'condescending' rather than involving patients / parents as active participants within the care. Examining children in the waiting room, talking about cases in public spaces and at volumes where there was no apparent patient confidentiality adhered to never mind any egards for patient dignity. A truly disappointing and embarrassing experience given I am a healthcare professional.

I have recently had a number of appointments, including CT scan, MRI, consultations with the very brilliant Mr N Williams, surgeon, and his truly amazing NCS, Louise Houston, and then surgery and an overnight stay last week. The attention I have received from every single person at W Harvey has been beyond exceptional - kind, patient, understanding, procedures and options have been explained clearly - I cannot fault anyone. Staff work under mind-blowing pressure (including rude patients) and they maintain their composure. Huge respect to them. We are so fortunate to have these amazing people caring for us.

I had a total knee replacement under the care of Mr. Shrivastava and from beginning to end of the procedure was treated by all the staff involved with dignity and professionalism. I have nothing to complain about !!

Review of Cambridge M1 written by a patient
20th December 2015

My experience was very pleasant, the nurses and HCA's were conscientious, friendly and showed genuine commitment to make all the patients comfortable. The only improvement I would suggest is to inform patients of procedures, Doctor visits and medication in the mornings, a sort of quick briefing of your day to come. The unknown element can mean you are reluctant to leave your bed for exercise, or pop to the shop. I would like to finish by commending the staff on their work ethic, quiet often they seem over burdened but never complain.

My daughter has been treated by Dr Rahman and his team on Padua ward and in A&E he is a genuinely caring doctor who takes time to explain everything and works tirelessly to help families during their most worrying times and I felt that no stone was left unturned in my daughters care. The nurses are incredibly caring and warm, I really cannot fault them, even the reception staff go out of their way to help, it seems like they work well as a team on that ward.

I felt that the staff team were running on limited numbers and this effected their practice. Little things were forgotten for example my sons cord had been left long and I had to remind the midwife it needed cutting when she was discharging us. She was very very busy with lots of families to see but it felt like everything was rushed.

Review of Labour Ward (WHH) written by a patient

I had a good experience for my first birth. Everything was explained so I knew exactly what was happening and everyone listened to my wants and needs and they were carried through. After my son arrived they were fantastic with the visitors.
