Waited hours to be seen. Drs and nurses standing about chatting discussing football etc and completely ignoring patients. At least one man couldn’t wait any longer and left
After going to A&E I was admitted overnight to wait for test results and see doctor. The next day I was offered breakfast and other than blood pressure checks, that was it! I did not see a doctor, nobody gave me the test results and I was not even offered a cup of tea, I had to ask for it.
I was discharged without any explanation and even the discharge form shows facts that are wrong.
I have never had problems with Whipps Cross before but I am appalled at the service I received this time. I am no better but can't go to my GP as he will send me straight to A&E due to my symptoms. Absolute disgrace.
What I'm angry about is the reviews on Google and Yelp. They seem to be trolling the service of Whipps. I have always had the finest treatment here and have even had my life saved a couple of times.
One niggle- patient transport service can be poor. Not the drivers, jhst the logistics.
The worst hospital I have ever been into. Avoid at all cost. You can die from pain they won't bother. They can't even get my medication right although I told them about my dose. Don't get ill. This place should be shut forever.
Mum was treated incredibly well by all the staff in whipps A&E. Her treatment was very thorough and her injured hand stitched with as much care and as gently as possible. The nurse in particular was wonderful, repeating things and reassuring mum as often as needed because she has dementia
Great service, thank you.
I was very happy with my treatment at Whipps Cross Hospital from the admin office to making appointments to having tests and seeing consultant the nurses who treated me both pre and post surgery I was under Gynae oncology department and I was grateful for the great service I had especially throughout the covid pandemic year thank you for all your help abs kindness
Polite kind understanding
I have been waiting almost 8 months for a telephone consultation due to the Corona virus. I was contacted by a member of staff within orthopedic to be told I will not receive a telephone consultation on my appointment date, and instead will be sent out a treatment plan. I find this unacceptable seeing as though I have not had a review on how my condition currently is at present. I understand not having a face to face appointment, but not to be given a telephone consultation in my opinion is being fobbed off. I find it impossible to gain contact by phone with someone in orthopedic to resolve this situation... No one ever answers the extension numbers, it's all very stressful.
The worst place on earth, will never come to this hospital again , stuff is not considerable at all, nor respectful, children ward night time horrible noise by the stuff which wakes up kids and babies and making them cry , the cleaners aswell slam the doors and throw the plates making so much noise day time & together with the staff , they seem to be coming from the jungle , is a Hell here , the staff here should work in a market not hospital ! If u ring they will be rude on a phone even hang up in your nose , how on earth can this happen in a hospital in England in 2020 ! Will never go to a hospital even if I know I die tomorrow ! I hope they will pay for all this shameful behaviour !!!!!!!!
