I had to attend The Westmoreland Hospital yesterday (07/12/2021) Only as a day patient in ward 6, I cannot praise the staff who dealt with me highly enough that goes for the Doctor, nurses and the trainee nurse and the staff in the X ray dept, they dealt with my problem efficiently, professionally and with care.

Terrific hospital and staff.
Two new hips, both ace jobs and now ongoing treatment for haemachromatosis (probably spelt wrong) with thanks for that too.

I opted to have my hip replacement surgery at WGH, over Lancaster. I find WGH to be a clean friendly, hospital and I cannot thank the staff on ward 7 enough, for everything that they did for me.

I was transferred to Kendal after I had my op, the food was good, company was great and made friends that I still keep in contact with. Physio team were a great team and fun. Only thing I would have is that one nurse in particular was a bit of a bully and far from pleasant. She had poor service user/ colleague empathy, it was very much do as I say or else attitude, fortunately she was only on duty once during my stay.

The whole experience was very good. Excellent organisation and Staff were on the whole very caring. Theatre staff and physios excellent and very reassuring.

The staff, Nurses and Consultants in the cystoscopy unit were very friendly, chatty, and kept me calm. This was my second camera into my bladder, I felt safe, at ease and the constant George was funny and explained everything.
