I have just been discharged after having an ovarian cyst etc removed. From the minute I arrived at the hospital,I was treated with the utmost respect.Every member of the staff from the girls on the desk, nurses,(day and night)down to the cleaner, could not have been more caring, considerate, and kind. Two very big thank yous, one for Mr Ross, and one for the operating theatre recovery nurse ,who spent nearly 6hours with me stabilising my blood pressure etc.Nothing was too much trouble for anybody ,thankyou again everybody!!!You are all stars!!!!!xxxx

All the hospital staff I come into contact with during visits to outpatient clinics are always friendly, helpful and above all professional.

The consultants that I saw were both very rude and abrupt, especially the Neurologist, Voice specialist wasn't much better. He told me that I am difficult and should seek a second opinion, which I did. Am seeing the top voice specialist in the country, he is a charming man and very understanding of my voice issues. I wish I had seen him over a year ago. WSH did nothing except waste my time and theirs. Very upsetting experience.

Everything good, my only concern is the time efficiency of some of the admin staff. Some have been great but others have been happy to speak to every other member of staff that comes into contact with them...........effectively holding up two peoples time spent working on their specified role.

I can't praise The West Suffolk enough. Every aspect of my overnight stay was faultless. I could write paragraphs on the marvellous treatment. Even the food was good. THANK YOU I had a giant liver cyst removed and was only in for one night. THANK YOU again Geraldine

I have attended various outpatient clinics in this hospital over the last few years. Also been for x-rays, scans and blood tests etc on many occasions. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I have always been incredibly impressed with the efficient way in which this hospital runs and the high quality of care I have received. I would rate this hospital and its staff as outstanding. I have never encountered anything but kindness and smiles from the staff, whether they be receptionists, nurses, porters, junior doctors or consultants or cleaners. I cannot suggest anyway in which the care I have received could have been bettered.

Reception staff and nursing staff both efficient and polite. I also went to have an x-ray and although the department was very busy the staff some thought was given to how they could help cut the waiting time by taking some patients to use the x-ray machine in A&E. An excellent service all round.

Was recently admitted to Ward G9 for treatment for a UTI. Unfortunately I was one of the only lucid patients in the ward and found it all very traumatic. I was unable to be transferred to another ward. I could not sleep for all the shouting from other patients, However I can only admire the nurses on the ward and the way they treated the older patients despite difficult circumstances. They were treated gently and with great respect as indeed I was. I consider myself lucky to be living near this hospital and feel very grateful for all the treatment I have received and are receiving at present. Impressed by the overall cleanliness. Well done WSH. Just wish my age did not define me when admitting me to a ward.

Whatever constraints under which the West Suffolk Hospital may be labouring, it is still managing to deliver excellent care.
