I greatly appreciated the kindness, care, good humour and kindness of so many of the staff (at all levels) that I encountered. This was particulalry impressive given the considerable pressures that the NHS in general, and the staff at WGH in particular, are under at present. The sooner the new Watford Hospital is built, and staff paid a decent wage, the better.

No bed and had to wait in the corridor for hours before a bed was found. Food was dreadful, dirty trays, cracked crockery, no hand wipes, only 2 beverages offered in 3 days. Cleaning was below standard and national colour coding was not followed. Treatment was great unfortunately the 15 minute procedure meant i had to be in hospital for three days.

Visited the X-Ray department for a CT scan on Wednesday (21/02). My experience was most positive. My appointment was on time the staff, professional and personal. The procedure was well managed and I was kept up-date at all times. I highly recommend this department. It's a 10 from me. Well done and keep up the great work : )

My experience of Watford General was excellent. Over the last ten months I have had two surgeries and have been taken back into hospital on two occasions The A&E department is extremely busy yet they have found a bed for me and prompt attentive care. On one occasion I was taken back in to the emergency assessment unit. On arriving at the hospital I was struggling to walk the distance to the ECU and a nurse stopped to help me. She was nothing to do with me but she attended me the whole way and then ensure I arrived at my bed. Five days later when I was in a different ward and shortly before being released later in the day she turned up at my bedside to check I was OK before starting her shift. I have nothing but praise for all the nursing staff who all work in teams and no job is too small to help out their colleagues regardless of seniority. It is a shame that some patients become abusive although this probably can be partly excused by their illnesses. Again the nursing staff do not react. I am afraid that I have no criticsm or matters I can recommend for improvement.

I really appreciate , The Team at the hospital who was working in the ward I was staying for 8 days , as a tireless , mindful , caring , hard working . Despite their long hours , they served me with a smile while caring other patients too . Their tireless service should be highlighted , here , & am so grateful to them . THANK YOU .
