My son, Jack, was admitted to Willoughby ward on the morning of Monday 6th Jan with complications arising from Glandular Fever (quinsy and abscess). He was very unwell and it was a huge relief to arrive on the ward after a really harrowing few hours in A&E. The kind and warm welcome from Izzy as we came through the door into the ward was a huge relief and in no time Izzy and made Jack as comfortable as she could in his bed. Her kindness and positive energy made a huge difference to both of us that day. Izzy was a great support to Jack during his stay, keeping his pain meds topped up and making sure he understood what was happening. All the staff we met during Jack's stay on the ward were compassionate and caring. The ward itself is bright, clean and comfortable. Thanks to every one on the ward for your great care for my son. It made a difference to how secure he felt, which no doubt helped his recovery
