I was extremely nervous going into day surgery, I needn't have been so worried because every single member of staff from the receptionists, nurses, anesthetists and of course my Consultant made me feel that I was in very safe hands, as indeed I was.
The whole dynamic of the Day Surgery Unit is faultless. All staff are ultimate professionals, understanding, courteous and, regardless of the many pressures they are most likely under, make the atmosphere of the unit light and happy.
If you are reading this as a patient, nervous as I was pre-op, please be assured you will receive the very best care.
