My appointment was my fourth hospital visit in three days, so I was feeling a bit low. I was well looked after by Ian, the nurse who prepared me for my procedure. He took every care to make sure I felt comfortable with things. When I got to the room for the procedure, I was again given every care. Although the procedure was unsuccessful, due to a pre-existing issue in my case of radiation damage from past treatment, I was involved by the consultant in the decision about what to do next, and he was very sensitive to my feelings and suggested that the best thing was to leave things alone for the present. I was very grateful for that.
