Ward 35 avoid at all costs, staff are hard, distant and uncaring. They have worked on that ward far too long. One incident where relatives came into see thier loved one and found them lying on excrement stained sheets and rough towels just starting to get a bed sore. The relatives asked the nursing staff for fresh sheets to make the bed themselves and the ward clerk passed a remark "Here we go more moaning from the great unwashed." Lots of unexplained falls of patients in the ward. Staff are supposedly monitoring patients, they don't they probably plonk patients on the commode and waltz off and leave the unattended which results in a fall and injury to patient. Then when you complain the staff come up with five different fabricated stories as to how it happened and then clam up until the PALS manager turns up to bully the relatives into dropping any complaints because the patient is at thier mercy and relatives had better shut up. NEVER EVER leave a relative who is mobilty restricted alone in that ward. Staff don't want you to stay but you don't get anything in that hospital unless you fight for it.
