Friendliness of the team. Explanation of what and why the treatment was necessary and how long it would take. A gentle reminder of how important exercise of the limb is.

Review of Brian House Childrens Hospice written by a family member
23rd March 2024

Henry had a four night stay at Brian House last week. He really enjoyed his time there and was very happy playing when mum collected him. The staff kept her updated regarding his activities and took great care of him. Mum and dad enjoyed sending time together whilst Henry was at Brian House.

Suggested improvements
Nothing could have been done better.

Theo loves coming to Brian House for day care. He enjoys messy play and time in the sensory room. The staff take great care of him and his time there gives mum a chance to catch up with housework and spend time with her friends.

Review of In-patient Unit
7th March 2024

My mother's last request was to be cared for in the Trinity Hospice. The care she received in her last days could not have been better. At the time the unit was understaffed and could only accommodate 6 patients. We will be eternally grateful that she was able to have this last wish and for the care she received from all of the staff. A nurse i spoke to said it was privilege to work there and she would not want to work anywhere else. I was very moved by what she said. The building and garden has a calm and peaceful feel about it. At first i thought it strange to have a games room but having spent a few days there i realised that having somewhere to have a little time out helped us to cope with the emotions felt during this sad time. Thank you all.

All the staff and helpers that are there are so kind and will do anything to help. If not they get somebody else to help them.

When the community nurses were looking after me I was not in a good place mentally. I was finding it difficult to cope with my diagnosis. The nurses were brilliant, I was not interested in my care or treatment at the time. I know the nurses were doing their best to get me involved.
