I was subjected to probably my worst experience in A&E, my mum was sent to majors A isolation due to her serious condition. The nurses were unkind, uncaring, passively aggressive, incompetent and quite frankly an absolute disgrace to the profession. The nurse on 25th April night shift was rude, blunt and aggressive I was extremely worried for my mum's welfare by the nurses lack of attention to care , it was at this point I decided to raise my concern with a senior nurse called ben hoping that my mum would receive the care she needs. Unfortunately the senior nurse began lecturing me and almost ridiculing me in an aggressive manner. I felt helpless and extremely worried I didn't know what to do other than sit at the bedside of my mum until she was allocated a ward because I was never going to leave my mum under the care of the most unprofessional and incompetent nurses I have ever experienced. I stayed at my mums bedside for 16hrs. The morning nurses were a breath of fresh air they gave more attention and care to my mum in 2hours than what was given in 12hours by the night nurses.

You go to the hospital for help when your unwell, only to be failed by the people who you put your faith and trust into. This resulted in an unnecessary death which could have been completely prevented had policies, procedures and guidelines been followed.

On attending F11 ward for venesection as I have done for many years I had a venesection from trainee nurse, on her own she wasn't doing the procedure correctly at all she never offered me water that is vital on having venesection also didn't take my blood pressure vital on having venesection bag lower than my arm to fill the bag with blood it just went back on its self and on rectifying her mistakes while in the process of having my venesection she left me on my own, I then felt unwell and started to feel dizzy I then blacked out on the bed awakening to know one around on the ward I was the first patients at that time, they only had 1 bed to share by everyone the rest of the patients sat in chairs while having venesection, it was unacceptable and since 2018 I've halve constant blood test at home indicating I didn't need a venesection until now august 2021 I phone up for my blood results they refused to give them to me unacceptable then told me I've been tslken off from venesection at Oldham F11 ward by incompetent nurse, with a bad attitude saying I've not had a venesection since 2018, Hello I've not needed a venesection and also there has been a pandemic so they wasn't doing venesections so not my fault and now I need a venesection which is vital to my health and to stop my organs from being damaged from high iron levels but to be told get your doctor to re- refare you Totally not acceptable at all for the incompetent so called nurse on F11 ward to ply God with peoples lives as heamocromatosis is deadly if not treated maybe she should go back and get some training and sort out her atitude as well, I've been in touch with Rochdale hospital and they said this isn't right and they will be gladly do my vital venesection to basically keep me alive thanks to piu Rochdale I'm able to continue with my treatment that is ongoing throughout my life,100% thanks again to piu staff Rochdale hospital kind and caring staff never fail to give all patients there highest care, Thanks,(Mr martin cook) dated 26/8/21

A friend of ours was admitted after suffering a heart attack and although they did not make it and passed away the Resuscitation team and the cardio intensive care team did everything they could kept us informed and allowed us to be with them when they passed as they had no family the care was for us as well and just wonderful staff from the ambulance people nurses to the doctors and the cleaning staff at a time when they are under more pressure than we can imagine. Very calm professional clear and precise in their conversations with us and treated our friend with dignity even though they were non responsive. Amazing couldn't thank them enough

I suffer with Parkinson's Disease and have very limited movement. I was sent to The Royal Oldham Hospital today for an X-Ray on my spine. The way the radiographer treated me was disgusting. I was told to get off the x-ray bed without any help after getting stuck due to severe pain. I asked for help....I was ignored. I asked the radiographer to get my son....I was again ignored. I asked for help again saying I can't get up....the radiographer said "yes you can"! I managed to get myself off the bed feeling shocked and very upset. I have also pulled a muscle in my knee because I toiled to pull myself up. There was no understanding or sympathy for my situation. It is a sad sad day. What upset me the most was the radiographer ignored my plea for help....I feel humiliated and very upset....My husband died a few months ago and this is the last thing I need. I am frightened to ever return to Oldham. The older lady volunteer who walked me to the changing room was very kind and professional......a volunteer treated me with respect and a paid member of staff treated me like dirt.
