From the pre-op assessment to the discharge, I was treated with extreme kindness and care for my physical and mental well-being. Staff ensured that I was given timely information about the planned surgery and took time to explain everything that was going to happen. All staff were clear about who they were and what their role was; when I had worries regarding for example, the general anesthetic, they took time to reassure me. The care shown by staff had a highly significant and positive impact on my well-being and ability to deal with a difficult situation. I am extremely grateful for the kindness and consideration and for the fact that each of them treated me as an individual, rather than a 'numbered patient'. I would particularly like to thank Layo Sanusi whose care and consideration was outstanding.
