The Team at Franklin, especially Rosemary, were caring and highly professional. Rosemary eased my nervousness and was very open to making changes to help. Although it was short treatment, she offered to play music of my choice to relax me. She explained the procedure as she went along.
She was also a friendly and smiling face when I was in the waiting room and she popped over to update me on timing. I cannot praise her more highly - she’s so obviously cares about making a tough and scary treatment as pleasant as it can be.
Another testament to her dedication to provide great service was that on my last session, although they were running late, she took great care to ensure the measurements were perfect, even coming back into the room to make final adjustments.
Nuclear Medicine staff were great. Call to set up appointment was very quick. Offered alternative dates.
Competent, professional and friendly people.
I did indeed receive great care. It was all just marvellous. I much appreciated the helpful briefings from Mr Khoo, Dr Harshani, Emer, Sandra and Jasmine, the sensitive insertion of gold beads from Emer, advice one weekend from the Macmillan nurses, and then the 20 radiotherapy sessions themselves. All the people were lovely. The radiologists who administered the 20 sessions seemed tremendously expert and painstaking (as far as I could tell) and were always, without exception, cheerful, sympathetic and endlessly patient. The hospital buildings and outpatient facilities were the best I've come across.
The briefings and treatments all went ahead as planned, strikes by some nurses and junior doctors notwithstanding. Andrew Edwards
I am answering in respect of a 20-day radiotherapy series, as an outpatient, so some questions aren't relevant. But the questionnaire demands answers so I've put 3 for these.
Could you not add an N/A or D/K tick-box?
I want to thank Dr Romney Pope for the compassion she showed me at the time of my diagnosis in September 2021. (Sorry for the delay - I have only just finished treatment.)
I would like to thank Dr Alicia Okines for taking a holistic approach to my treatment. I found her approachable and non-judgemental.
I had my last Phesgo injection in December. I started 5 months of chemotherapy in October 2021. The staff at the Medical Day Unit were always patient and respectful. Although I wouldn't say I enjoyed having chemotherapy, I never dreaded the appointments because the staff were so pleasant and the hospital environment was very well maintained. I couldn't have been treated better in the private sector. Special thanks to the health care assistants who took great care in applying my cool cap. Thanks to them I didn't lose all my hair.
Excellent staff - caring and thoughtful providing very high quality of care.
Staff were fantastic, everyone from reception to the radiographers. All made me feel welcome and put any fears I had at ease. Super efficient, everything ran on time, so I was in and out within 15 minutes on most days. What a great place!!
The radiotherapy team were efficient, courteous and caring; the service I experienced could not have been bettered. It is a credit to the team's management and clinical capabilities that they were able to deliver such outstanding patient care at the critical point of need.
Thus my experience of the radiotherapy therapy service was beyond the 'very good' you allow - it was excellent.
