I stayed in Daphne Ward and was treated with great kindness and care throughout. The team there are from (the ward sister to the nurses, caterer and cleaner) an extremely dedicated bunch who deserve recognition for the work they do. They have my thanks and gratitude for the skill in helping to make what is a very unsettling and painful time, one that is full of reassurance that one is in safe hands.

his review is very late. i went in for 7 weeks due to plaenta acreta at the end of 2016, not a hospital goer kind of person i am a serial discharger,, i accually managed to stay the whole time, my first stay was at the SARA WARD i stayed here for 6 weeks it was hard but for the best the staff were so lovely on this ward in fact it was my favorite, the dinner lady as i call her she knows who she is was just the best, however i didnt get my wine and steak dinner she promised however she was amazing and i miss her, the lady on the desk also was great and does a brill job, i had a lovely room which i had to leave when i went for my c-section, also having a hysterectomy couldnt be helped at the time due to things not going my way, i bled out aparently had 17 pints of blood didnt no until i woke up, im very lucky to be here and i honestly feel if i wasnt at this hospital in the care of the very best consultant that i wouldnt have made it, as a mother of 7 i cannot thank them enough no choclates or flowers could show how grateful i am to them all, i then was in the intensive care unit im not sure how long was pretty out of it all i no is they monitired me very often like every 10 mins, i then was transfered to the close oberservation unit where i stayed for i think 5-6 days the staff were so friendly and kind the care here i hate to say wasnt great and this is only because they are to busy they have to much work for the amount of nurses and things with me were missed which caused me alot of problems, i was then transfered to post natal ward lady mary ward this was horrible and they are useless, i waited hours for pain killers i had to get stressed and get cross, the midwife said sorry she was also cross as nothing had been done when she arrived for work, not accually my problem, this ward was not clean it stank it was noisy when all i wanted to do was rent all the babies were crying all over the place kept waking my baby this ward may as well not exist, after staying one night in this ward and not getting any sleep i told them i was going home, i didnt feel up to it but i would get more peace and rest at home, after being spoilt at sara ward it was a massive let down ending up on lady mary wrd i wouldnt reccomend this ward they are on a different level alltogether, i think its not clean it smells bad to noisy and the rooms are very small you are squashed quite close to the next person no privacy at all the staff down there are not helpful and may as well not be there, basically 11 out of 10 before baby was born whilst baby was born and aftercare what after care 0. CLINIC 21 the ladys here are fabulous one in paticular saw me alot as they kept asking for blood (to much every other day) she knows who she is great tats, thankyou for taking good care of me ladys, SCBU they took care of my baby when she was born whilst i was out of action they just have to be the best in the country no improvement needed here, thankyou thankyou thankyou to you all
