I have received excellent care and attention from initial contact all the way through to being discharged. My consultant, Will Green, is amazing in every way, so knowledgeable, skilful, kind and empathetic; he described and explained the available treatments available for my enlarged prostate in great detail, he also explained the positives and negatives of the procedures so that I was able to make a fully informed choice. The reception and administration team are so helpful too, addressing any questions I had very quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, between my initial consultations and the scheduled date of my operation, I developed some complications. I contacted the hospital and a meeting with Will Green was arranged very quickly and subsequently an Ultrasound scan was squeezed in the next day; a remedy was put in place which addressed the problem. On the morning of my operation the 2 HCAs, my dedicated nurse Raymond and Will were very reassuring and made me feel at ease with the operation that was about to happen; the anaesthetist was reassuring too! My dedicated nurse, Raymond, looked after me so well all day and into the early evening. He is knowledgeable, professional and so caring – a real gentleman! The catering team are great too; the evening meal and breakfast were so tasty! In conclusion, a very big thank you to everyone at Ramsay Woodthorpe Hospital who enabled me to get through this difficult time; I would recommend this hospital to anyone.
