I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff who work in 11b, who looked after my Dad, who was terminally ill with cancer, they looked after him with care and dignity, and made him comfortable and also looking after his family during Dad's final days, I cannot thank them enough for what they did. Thank you soo much again, God bless you all.

I would like to say thank you to the staff of ward 11D for their care on my unexpected stay. I would also like to thank the endoscopy team who put me at ease prior to my procedure. I’m very grateful for your tireless work and dedication in these difficult times.

I was extremely nervous with regards to my procedure at hospital and had not slept properly a few days prior to surgery adding more stress to my situation however the nurses were really pleasant and understanding helping to calm me down. The procedure itself went really well from my experience, I was really worried about pain relief and upon reflection, was worrying unnecessarily. The hospital is clean and tidy and the nurses were always available to me. The food is good too! Tuna salad and a coffee was offered to me pretty quickly after I came round. I feel the patient protocol for discharge is thorough as the nurses made sure I had my house keys and medication before leaving the building, I can be quite forgetful so this was very helpful to me. I find it difficult sometimes putting my trust in others especially during this covid crisis, I imagine it is stressful for alot of patients, it is a no brainer really lol, I just wish I trusted in the whole situation more, I would have saved myself alot of anxiety, now I can recover at home and can honestly say I'm doing really well and looking forward to my future with my quality of live being improved now. My sincere gratitude to all staff that cared for me at Queen Elizabeth ICU and to the big guy that reminded me to lift my phone charger before I left the ward!

Wonderful care during my recent visit for carotid surgery. The two surgeons who done the procedure Mr Yapanis and Mr Mackenzie wonderful.I was treated with upmost respect everything was explained in layman's terms,I was made to feel I was in very safe hands and was therefore less worried. The procedure went well and I can't thank them enough. The nursing and auxiliary staff were amazing as well and I felt well looked after.I must also mention the anesthetic team who were great too.I have been in my local hospital in the past and had a very negative experience so I can't praise this place enough as far as the vascular department go.

I have visited few hospitals in Spain and Glasgow with my daughter who is a sickle cell patient and I find the staff of Queen Elizabeth hospital to be amazing. The Haematology department is more than up to the task of caring for sickle cell patients, and the staff of 6A were my daughter has been admitted on several occasions are Angels. Life is valued here, the medical staff and their teams of health workers are just too professional and above all very empathetic. Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow is a home of comfort as they provide the best health care that we all deserve.

I recently was a patient of the neurology block, I had an operation to remove a left frontal lobe meningioma. I was very well looked after and kept safe, the nurses, assistant nurses, porters and domestic staff were all so wonderful and lovely, understanding, caring and patient. My surgeon Mr Hassan was amazing, a lovely gentleman who cares very much about his patients, the other surgeon Mr Bhattarai was also amazing and both of these men gave me back my life can’t thank them enough. All the surgical team and scan technicians were all so wonderful, you all are true angels doing gods work, thank you so much. Xxxxxxxxxxx

Just had our little boy Daniel by elective section on 22/07/20.. my pregnancy was classed high risk and as such I was mostly seen by consultant Dr Brennand who I trust implicitly and midwives prior to this. I cannot fault the excellent, friendly care I was given throughout. I felt really well cared for and monitored with a clear plan in place. A special thanks to midwas, Sharon (mat daycare) and Cathy Grant and midwife in training Margaret Torrance for their lovely caring attitudes and friendliness during apointments and the very reassuring sonographer who carried out my scans. The surgical team were all very efficient and explained everything clearly and concisely to me, putting my mind at ease. A big thank you to the lovely doctor mr Logan and the lady doctor who performed the section. I felt verycomfortable in the knowledge i was in good hands. My midwife MaryAnne was fantastic and although my little boy had to go straight to NICU for the day for extra help and care I was happy he was in the very capable hands of the fab staff there, particularly, Taylor and Sinead who were amazing. On ward 50 there are are many angels, including Jacqui, Sharon and Karen and the fab auxiliary who made the best tea and walked with me to Nicu and back and helped me. I believe in giving credit and praise where it is due and im really greatful for the care i received both during and after my pregnancy.

I was very poorly when I was admitted to the acute receiving unit. I have been here three times in the last few weeks and each time I was treated swiftly and kept informed by Dr David Bell and his team. They reassured me, kept me informed of my treatment and what was happening next. When you are ill and pretty much helpless, this confidence from staff gives reassurance and has a calming effect, I can’t thank everyone enough. I was then sent to Ward 5a and Ward 5c and I can only describe the staff there as absolute angels. Everyone from the people who served the meals, brought cups of tea, the nurses, the student nurses, the student doctors and the doctors. They treated me with dignity, respect and fairly cheered me up at a particularly miserable and frightening time in my life. So I am sending my sincere heartfelt thanks to everyone working on the ward. Keep doing what you are doing... making people well again.
