I have recently undergone a surgical procedure at the Princess Grace Hospital. As a medical professional I knew exactly what to look for.
The hospital had the highest order of cleanliness, the food was excellent , beautifully served by very friendly and courteous staff. I cannot speak highly enough of the nursing care. All nurses were totally professional, well qualified and knowledgable. Without any exaggeration, whenever I had occasion to press the call button to summon a nurse, I never had to wait more than 30 seconds before a nurse appeared in my room and that is no exaggeration.
All medical and surgical procedures were carried out exactly by the book in terms of pre and post op information which was delivered exactly as it should be.
In short, my stay and treatment was technically faultless.
Excellent hospital, caring staff and seamless processes.
I had very successful spinal surgery here in Dec 2019. The surgeon, anaesthetist, spinal nurse and night staff were outstanding. The day nurses were individually very kind and professional but their organisation seemed chaotic at times with too many telling me they were looking after me only to disappear never to be seen again.
The catering staff tried to stop us leaving to give them feedback which was just
inappropriate. The food was fine but getting a cup of tea often literally took hours (4 on one occasion). In conclusion great clinical care but rather poor leadership/ management.
FANTASTIC all round
Clinical mammography staff excellent, polite and helpful. Mammography reception staff rude and unhelpful as usual - with the exception of new receptionist who tried to be helpful. Hope the other receptionist's unhelpful, rude 'not my role' 'You don't understand' attitude doesn't influence her. They had a problem before too when receptionists posted my results to the wrong postcode and then resent them to me when I phoned but using somneone else's name. Don't they pay them enough to care?
On entering the hospital on the day of my operation, we were greeted by a smile on Reception & as we were shown to the ward any staff member we passed gave a smile. I couldn’t have asked for more from the nursing staff. I found it reassuring to speak to Mr Anderson (Surgeon) & Mr Bailey (Anaesthetist ) before the operation & after. They both explained to me exactly what would be happening. The operation was a success & I am on the road to recovery. Thanking everyone at Princess Grace Hospital.
The food is inedible staff quality variable room depressing
Great place for day and extended stays
Understaffed and only interested in your credit card
The hospital ensures that you feel as relaxed and informed as one can be pre procedure and post op all the staff are attentive and cheerful.
