The Nuffield Hospital was very comfortable and the staff very attentive. Although I only had one nights stay in a private room after rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder, performed by Mr. Bailey. I can not recommend the hospital and the staff more highly. A very enjoyable stay under the circumstances. The only down side is that I have to say is the anaesthetist could have had a more polite manner. A, B, C's of anesthesia --> airway, book, chair. A, B, C's of surgery --> abuse, belittle, criticize. Just a joke, but really he could have been more polite .

I had been putting off my knee replacement surgery for many years but was encouraged by Mr. Baileys clear explanation of the procedure. Having seen the scan of my knee joint felt I had confidence in him to remedy the situation as he communicates well and inspires confidence in both the procedure and the longer term results. With ongoing aftercare and rehab at the hospital I feel much more confident and am looking forward to an improved stronger and more stable knee. All stages of my treatment were carried out effectively and with good care and attention.

Thank you, the whole Nuffield experience has been nothing but pleasant. From reception to Nursing and Physio care . During my overnight stay all were friendly, caring and efficient. On one slightly amusing negative : perhaps inform patients to wear cotton underwear prior to any surgery for fear of causing static in theatre. I felt your modesty pants did not live up to their name as they were quite transparent! If in the future I happen to need further treatment,will be using the Nuffield experience.

I thought I had checked into a 5 star hotel! Well that was until they came for me for the surgery! However even that was done with professionalism and humour. There was nothing I could fault from the stay. All staff were professional (cleaner to surgeon), kind, had a sense of humour and stopped to chat. They all seemed to accept a collective responsibility to make my stay pleasant as well as healing. And it worked on both counts.

I had a knee op at the Nuffield Hospital as an NHS patient. Compared to a previous op in an NHS hospital, this has been a very pleasant experience. The room was very nice. The food was exceptional and made a big difference to cheer me up after the op. All the staff is very friendly and respectful. The nurses are kind and don't feel overstretched like in NHS hospital, giving you the time you need.

No continuity of nursing staff, mostly agency employed. Food not very appealing and sometimes not eatable, over cooked. The hospitality personnel were very efficient and helpful.
