I felt that my time with the physiotherapist just prior to discharge was a little rushed. The fitting and unfitting instructions of my abduction sling was not fully explained enough.

The nurses, doctors and all ancillary staff were absolutely helpful and friendly. If I had any needs or requests, they were always taken care of and all were absolutely professional in their work.

The Montefiore is a fabulous hospital. I had a large room to myself with an en-suite bathroom. It was immaculately clean and all the staff were welcoming and friendly and looked after me really well. My anaesthetist really put me at my ease and the nurses were so kind and helpful. My surgeon was amazing. The physiotherapists were fantastic. The food was delicious. I had a really great 2 night stay. Thank you!

Excellent care once you are their but totally dreadful communication. I was correctly discharged waiting the results of microbiology tests that would determine my antibiotics with the arrangement that I would be contacted on the Tuesday (these drugs were important for the treatment of a serious infection). No appointment was made, message were not returned and I had to go down to the hospital at 4pm to get to speak to anyone. Only then was I given a prescription but too late for any pharmacist to supply the medication for that night. The antibiotics require me to have blood tests every 2 weeks. I have now had 2 sets of blood test and no results (second test was last Monday).

I had post operative nausea due to sodium low that lasted a couple of days. The staff could not have been kinder or more matter of fact about the problem. They never made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Once I returned home I had something I was a little concerned with and they were very reassuring.
