It has been two years since I had the foam Sclerotherapy injection. The discolouration has now gone and my leg looks great. However, at first I reacted badly to the treatment and my leg blistered. I was advised to use a cream to heal this but that did not work. The leg was still bad after a while so I was prescribed Penicillin and Amoxycillin to be taken together in doses of 500mg each for a week and to use another type of cream. I could not continue the whole prescribed amount as it resulted in a severe bout of diarrhea which kept me off work for a week. The blistering did go away and the discolouration has now gone completely. I do however still get the occasional pain from the area where the vein was but this is never worse than the ache from the vein before the treatment and overall I am glad that I have had the vein treated.

Although off the beaten track The Melbury Clinic is easy to find and I was given clear instructions of how to get there. It was everything that you would expect from a Private Cinic, tastefully decorated and furnished, clean and comfortable. I felt very relaxed and cared for.

After suffering varicose veins in my left leg, I was recommended to Dr Gajraj by my own GP. Initially I went along to a very informative presentation in a local hotel . I was so impressed that I signed up on the day and was soon having my initial consultation. It was decided that I should have Foam Schlerothapy & Phlebectomy which was carried out in December 2011. One year on and I've just had my final check up and I can honestly it was one of the best decisions I have made. I had a particularly nasty vein on the side of my left knee which was the most painful, and the calf & foot were affected as well. I was very impressed by the attention to detail given by Dr Gajraj and all the staff. The procedure itself was painless and I've since had three check ups to make sure all is well. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and I had total peace of mind throughout and continue to do so. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Gajraj & the Melbury Clinic. Mrs H James, Weymouth
