Very positive feedback already given about JRH given through other channels. This is what I said: I was admitted to the Purple Neurology Department of the John Radcliffe Hospital (Room 19 Bed 4) from Saturday 10th July until Tuesday 13th July 2021 following the diagnosis of SIADH/Hyponatremia following surgery to remove a Pituitary Macroadenoma at the Manor Hospital (2nd July). I would like to put on record the excellent care and attention that I received throughout this time from ALL of the hospital staff that I met including the excellent lady at the reception desk, all of the Doctors, Nurses, Specialists and other key staff in that hospital department. They all took time to explain the course of my treatment and, as I was nowhere near as ill as the others in the ward, I was able to watch them all at work (including Occupational Therapists) dealing with my fellow patients. I admired their tact, patience and undoubted skills in dealing with the multitude of varying Neurology patients. I could see the patients improving quite clearly during my stay even though I was only a patient for a few days. It would have been great if I could list the names of all of those undoubted experts but it would be invidious to pick anyone out in particular as I believe they are all top class and a credit to the John Radcliffe Hospital and the NHS. Please accept my heartfelt thanks to everyone at the JRH.

I was on Wytham Ward at the Churchill Hosptal for 5 days following ultra radical surgery. All the nurses were thoughtful, caring and professional. I felt safe and well looked after. The other members of staff on the ward were friendly, helpful and took care in their tasks. This includes nursing support, cleaning and catering staff. It made a big difference to have these positive interactions. Although obviously busy, the whole team was outstanding.

My experience of the John Radcliffe was as the childcare for a patient who was admitted after a RTA. He was brought in my Police Helicopter, his family ‘blue lighted’ to his bedside as he was not expected to survive. But he was a strong 18 year old and the wonderful teams at the Radcliffe worked their miracles. This was 8 years ago he still has physical issues but went on to get his degree in Oxford at The Brooks.

The treatment I received was second to none! Kind, courteous and reassuring at all times. Constructive suggestion -NOT a complaint- staff could be quieter when patients are trying to rest.

Excellent care from all staff members. However, it would help if someone addressed the access and parking difficulties experienced by patients. Some of us have no option but to drive and don’t feel well enough to use park and ride. The stress of trying to park and get to an appointment on time has a serious effect on patients and carers.

The Gastro Day Care Unit are a credit to the NHS as well as themselves frankly! Consummate professionals all working together as a polished, formidable team, so friendly, reassuring and very switched on, that they made this patient feel very relaxed & comfortable whilst initially anxious about the somewhat uncomfortable procedure? Suzy was my appointed nurse, truly outstanding in her knowledge of my procedure, firmly reassuring me, helping me accommodate my concerns, as I was also in a fair amount of pain when I arrived, but Suzy's bedside manner was impeccable, & set me at ease immediately, as I could see this was an effective team of health professionals who had each other's back whenever required, which made for such a friendly and understanding environment that I had to give my feedback as I had been made to feel immediately so much better by everyone's friendly and caring demeanour? I'd truly like to offset the complaints some people make, so please highlight my positive patient experience to their line managers? As aforementioned the whole team were mindful of everyone's patients not just their own appointed ones, which made for such a genuinely refreshing atmosphere on the ward, so quick to help each other out. As a result I engaged with pretty much everyone on the unit at some point, & further to Suzy, would also like to highly endorse Ella, Eilish, Sivann & Justina for their outanding care, professionalism & understanding too please. Thanks again.
