The HAPI clinic at the JR has been fantastic. I was very lucky to have my finger operated on by the lead consultant, Sarah Tucker who was brilliant. And all the people in the service are clearly extremely competent, kind and as efficient as current systems allow them to be - it took 10 days to have the procedure. I believe I have Sarah to thank for coming in on her day off!
I will definitely let others know about this service. I’m not sure how many people recognise the level of specialism needed to mend our hands and fingers! I certainly didn't, but am lucky my best friend (a physio) recommended the HAPI clinic to me. I’m sure A&E would have sent me anyway, but I think I am appreciating the expertise of everyone there more because I have an understanding (albeit limited) of how complex it is.
Anyway, hats off to the JR and thank you. I can’t fault your service and patient care this time round.
