I have just arrived home after having my gallbladder removed at Nuffield, Glasgow. My experience was excellent. The nurses who attended to me were amazing and so attentive. Peter Chong was my consultant and he was also extremely pleasant and talked me through each step thoroughly to check my understanding. My room was spotless, my food was very good indeed. I felt valued and cared for which resulted in making a bad time a much better experience. I would thoroughly recommend choosing this hospital and I certainly will again if I require any operations in the future.
I received excellent attention from Dr Lockington. This was my second cataract operation (the first at another hospital), so I knew what to expect. However Dr Lockington's superior expertise showed itself by taking one-third of the time and by rendering sight in that eye at a level measured by my optometrist as "better than 20/20". I particularly welcomed Dr Lockington's commentary throughout the procedure. That served to keep me informed but also to maintain an emotional connection that emboldened me.
His service was very well appreciated.
I am currently on my last morning at the Glasgow, Nuffield after undergoing surgery. Mr Chew and his team were fantastic. The nurses afterwards couldn’t do enough for you. They were fantastic. Always being checked on. Water, tea and assistance as and when required and all with such a lovely manner. Thanks for making my vulnerable time here so much easier to deal with. Wonderful bunch.
From our first appointment at the Nuffield we were kept informed with every step of the procedures that my wife was going through regarding her breast surgery.Aftercare until here release was excellent and follow up appointments kept us totally informed about any further procedures.
I found the staff and nurses at the Nuffield to be very helpful and courteous during all my appointments and surgery. In theatre the nurses and drs were all very caring and I couldn't find fault with anything at all.
Reception when I entered ignored me. Being sent to outpatients reception the lady there was okay but was chewing gum. The doctor was offhand and, while he did not refuse to answer my questions, he was ushering me out the door as tried to find out more. He saw me for no more than five minutes. Later, when I tried to get scan results the hospital was obstructive. I would not recommend The Nuffield to anyone. It has a bad atmosphere. Soon after I was lucky enough to get superb service across the road at Gartnaval (NHS).
