As on submission for Poole Harbour Hospital
Everything was very good, car parking, reception and nursing staff all friendly and polite, and facilities provided where to a high standard.
I have spent a lot of time at the hospital. The staff are all lovely & a really nice experience always.
The care I received throughout my treatment was brilliant, with all members of staff making you feel welcome and ensuring your care and comfort is top priority. Any questions I had were promptly and clearly answered along with a thorough aftercare plan. Lovely place and people.
Having attended the Nuffield today I am disappointed to say the least that I am at home not having had this completed. Having had to reschedule work and life commitments to spend a day sitting in a hospital I find totally unacceptable.
As an experienced healthcare professional myself I can honestly say in future I will stick to NHS care. During a five hour sit on the ward, I saw 'The Nurse looking after me' for all of 5 minutes, and after the evident lack of knowledge around their own Policies can say that I now wouldn't feel comfortable to have their staff caring for me after anaesthesia.
This will be followed by a formal complaint.
I had surgery by Elias khoury, what a lovely man, extremely kind and caring, fantastic sense of humour and now have fantastic ears, can’t fault the way I was treated by the surgeon or the hospital, I’m so glad that I chose Elias and the Nuffield for my surgery
Very good care by the nurses involved with my operation.
I attend Bournemouth eye hospital Macular degeneration (wet) left eye
Ussualy every 6 weeks I now have
Been attending under Mrs Mathews
First class again a credit to the NHS.
In case anyone is considering paying hundreds of pounds for a health assessment at a private hospital, don't waste your time trying at Bournemouth Nuffield. Having tried endlessly to get through on their advertised "help line" number on their website (0330 123 1406) - which goes nowhere - I then submitted a request online, and got no response. I finally found another number to call and was told that (on 7 March) that the only possible date for the assessment in March was 24th and the next, after that, on - wait for it! - 26 April - SEVEN WEEKS later. This is like NHS waiting times - the only difference being that you don't pay £600+ on the NHS.
(Response to most of the mandatory questions above are N/A - except the first one).
I had two different scans at the hospital on separate visits and both times everyone involved in the process, receptionists, nurses and doctors were all very kind and caring, explaining the procedures clearly, ensuring I wasn't waiting around at all, explaining what was being seen on the scans immediately at the time of the scan and then also on one of the tests referring the results on for further analysis, speaking to my consultant, phoning me the next day with updates and getting me booked in for a further test. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to have treatment or tests there, as I felt in very safe and caring place.
