I was given a cancellation appointment for my knee replacement on Thursday April 6th 2023 for Monday 10th April. What a wonderful little hospital Strathcathro is. Admitted at 8, all paperwork and meetings with doctor, anesthetics, all done straightaway. The staff were friendly, polite and reassuring. I felt totally at ease. I had an epidural for the procedure which took about 2 hours. The theatre worked great as a team making sure I was comfortable and talked through what was happening and why. The nurses back at the ward were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate going back to the surgical unit again. Well done Strathcathro surgical unit.
