I have been treated by the cardiology dept for two years. The Consultants were highly professional and knowledgable as were the Heart Failure Clinic staff. Especially Shelley Stearn. I recently had a CRT implant as a day case patient. I was looked after brilliantly by Dr Nick Childs and all of the nursing team led by Kate who is the ultimate professional and a credit to her profession. I should also mention Fatima who looked after me throughout my stay. It would be a total waste of a wonderful team and a great asset to close this service down and possibly merge it with Worthing or Brighton. At a time when the NHS receives so much bad press why not preserve this highly successful unit.
