Review of Critical Care Unit - St Peters

I cannot fault the care I received. The nurses and all those looking after me were clearly motivated and dedicated. They were cheerful, helpful, friendly, and, considering what I had just been through and the emotions arising from my condition and the necessary changes to my body and lifestyle, just the friends I needed.
Suggested improvements
There was a mix up regarding the ward to which I should be transferred from the Critical Care Unit. I don't think this was through any fault of your team, who in fact dealt with the difficulty showing how concerned they were to make sure I would be taken care of after the transfer.

My husband was taken into St Peters hospital on Monday 13th March by ambulance . He was kept in A& E until the afternoon of the following day .It was extremely busy but the care was very good under difficult circumstances. Several members of the public being very rude to the nursing staff.Totally uncalled for .
He was then transferred to Kingfisher surgical ward, where he was very well cared for , it was during the junior Drs strike . The nurses were very caring and friendly.

The staff who cared for me were very good. They were respectful and understanding.
I was however very frustrated by communications from the hospital; I had to repeatedly chase to find out any information regarding a date for my surgery, much to the surprise of the surgeon when I was finally admitted.
I experienced appointments being changed with out me being notified which resulted in delays to physio appointments and caused challenges with transportation whilst I could not drive.
I feel sorry for the staff who are doing their best within an underfunded system, but my experience of the processes were not positive.

Dr Ian Beeton is an amazing cardiologist. He put me at ease during consultation, was professional and at the same time approachable! He is by far the best cardiologist I have ever had the good fortune and pleasure meeting!

Review of Diabetes/Endocrinology and Thyroid Clinic - St Peter's

All the team members are very friendly and helpful and supportive. Always help me in gestational diabetes pregnancy journey and maintain without medicine only with diet control ... Really thank you for Ur hard work and support ... including reception lady is so kind give me flexible timing and all are very good guided me with good knowledge about diabetic and how to avoid in future ....I really thanks for each one of staff members ....

Very difficult to get through to the Urology department by telephone.
