Had a wonderful appointment with Dr Daniel Martins who saw me on really short notice due to an issue with my appointment on the database, and thankyou to the receptionist too for sorting out the issue so quickly! He was really helpful and made sure I understood how to do the exercises and why they would help me in the long run. Thanks again physiotherapy department

I didn't have my procedure at St Peter's, but my clinic appointments were held at St Peters where I found the CEMIG staff and Blanche unit to be very helpful and kind and understanding.

I have attended the hospital on many occasions and have no complaints. The staff are all very caring and I feel confident in the care that they provide. I recently had an operation that was carried out by Mr. Majdumdar and the outcome could not be better for me. I have also had recent treatment from the cardiac team which has prolonged my life and I cannot thank them enough. It is a very good hospital.

St Peters Hospital has treated me for a number of medical conditions recently. This included being admitted to one of the wards as an in-patient. I have always been treated with dignity and respect. I have received first class care and medical treatment from all the doctors who have looked after me. I have no suggestions for improvement

Under the care of Mr Narvani for a shoulder replacement. Treated so well and kept informed throughout. My shoulder replacement is so successful that it has changed my life. I can now independently and can perform all tasks as I did before having a shoulder problem. Appointments are on time and I have been treated so well that I am so grateful to Mr Narvani

Review of Swift Ward - St Peter's
30th August 2023

This was my first experience as an in-patient at St. Peters and I was hugely impressed by every element of the care that I received - as reflected by the totally deserved maximum satisfaction scores I have given. What particularly stood out for me was the good-humoured, heplful and highly professional attitude of the Ward staff at every level. Despite being constantly under pressure they always responded positively to the needs that I and my fellow patients had. I should add another plaudit that is not covered in this patient experience survey. This regards the meals that were served to me during my stay on Swift Ward. In summary, they were first-class - not at all what I had expected - and deserve highlighting. Both the selection and food quality were excellent.

Suggested improvements
There were genuinely no areas of patient care that I received that were in my view were below standard or where improvements needed to be made.

Review of Urgent Treatment Centre - Adult
16th August 2023

All the staff were brilliant. They all seemed to be friendly and getting along with each other which helped the mood. But the cramped space made life difficult. Having to be constantly moved during the assessment phase and then waiting for a bed to be freed up on a ward. The porters seemed to be most times just moving us around in the queue. I was there on a day when the junior doctors were on strike, so A&E was manned by consultants, so I probably got more experienced hands. Even so it’s probably not a bad thing that the consultants get reminded of the experience the other way, every now and again.

Suggested improvements
I may have this wrong but it seemed to me (laying there for 9 hours) that if there was an emergency ward, with another 20 trolleys, then there wouldn’t need to be trolleys in corridors. I appreciate that you would still have to wait for a bed on a ward, is required for admission, but if one was not available then at least the emergency ward could double up as an overflow. It seems like we have a growing and aging population that relies on and efficient A&E department that hasn’t grown to match. Appreciate that funding and space is needed for this and selling off the area where the staff use to park ( my wife works in the hospital) May have given funds but at the expense of the space.
