I feel incredibly lucky to be able to be treated by such a professional Hospital
I found the parking at the hospital much improved by the new multi-storey car park.
The coronavirus check in procedure was easy and straightforward with a mask provided.
I was seen on time and the staff were friendly, professional and informative regarding my procedure.
I was treated by Dr Vijay Nar. This feedback is in respect to the care I received from him specifically.
I am extremely grateful to Dr Nar for taking my health problems seriously. He was meticulous, thorough and detail oriented which is what I needed. He didn't rush me at all. I was able to explain everything and ask as many questions as I wanted.
Unfortunately many of the doctors I have interacted with in the past 12 months have been dismissive of my health problems despite them having destroyed my life.
Dr Nar was the first doctor who genuinely cared for my health. He looked at the problems holistically and set out a clear plan. There has been a marked improvement in my condition since I saw him. The medication he prescribed coupled with the knowledge that I am in good hands has helped to ease my anxiety. It will take some months to get better but I am cautiously optimistic that it will happen eventually. Thank you Dr Nar.
He was made to wait to be triaged when he had already waited and been triaged at a previous hospital.
Excellent, Clean tidy and friendly.
I am in health care and do not like being a patient. However a massive shout out goes to the lovely staff at the Urology Centre. I was extremely anxious. The reception staff made me feel welcome and at ease, the lovely lady with the black hair on the front desk chatted away to me until Linda the nurse came to collect me.
Linda and her colleague, sadly I didn't get her name but she had lovely black eyeliner on I think she might have been new or training as nurse Linda was teaching her, were very kind to me and answered my many questions.
Linda was fab she held my hand during my procedure and tried to keep me calm. The lovely Doctor, sorry I did not get her name was amazing and very patient with me.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, you guys are amazing and I hope your manager sees this and realizes how lucky he/she is to have great staff.
We were asked to attend A&E as my daughter's haemoglobin was 50. This is low enough for a transfusion, however with the processes via A&E we avoided this and she is being treated as an outpatient.
We were reviewed by 3 senior paediatric professionals, who were clearly very busy. My daughter had repeat bloods. And ECG, and ultrasound and an outpatient appointment given to us within 3 weeks. Lovely staff, clean tidy unit and my daughter was kept informed and calm throughout.
Well done to all NHS staff who continue great work.
I was always greeted by my christian name. All staff in every department were, kind, considerate and caring at all times, also giving explanations if and when required.
Only complaint concerned the ambulance service that was going to make me wait for at least 7 1/2 hours, so ended up getting neighbours to help get me into hospital. However as drove passed Ottershaw ambulance station was surprised to see 12 ambulances parked up.
The appointment service needs serious overhaul. An appointment was made for me on the phone for the 12 December I duly arrived to be told it was on the 11th. I was told to rebook which I did and was given an appointment on the 18th. I duly arrived to be told it had been cancelled.
I was made to feel really awkward about being there and that the doctor would squeegee in. Appalling service.
I was then told the system sometimes makes glitches.
How awful is that wasting peoples time; both mine and the doctors.
