Review of A&E St Peters, written by a patient
4th January 2021

It was absolutely awful. I had to visit A&E three times before any action was taken. One Dr, and one consultant, on separate occasions used intimidating language to presumably stop me from going ahead with treatment. I was referred for an MRI scan on the second visit and when I went back on the third visit I found out those notes had been lost. The symptoms I was experiencing were those for a condition that would have needed immediate surgery and yet they were happy for me all three times to just walk out untreated. I am waiting for my scan to go ahead on the 10th, until then my condition goes unexplained. My hip, foot and leg is numb constantly with loss of mobility.

Given me an emergency MRI scan, and not just sent me home saying if my symptoms get worse come back. Even when they did get worse and I went back they didn’t take my condition seriously.

Very quick x-ray done straight away to check for possible breakage.

Lights and clearer direction signage in the parking area.

All NHS staff need to be congratulated on their continuing professional attitude and care under these very difficult circumstances of the present day of COVID 19

Review of Urgent Treatment Centre - Adult, written by a patient
4th January 2021

When I saw the GP she was very professional and thorough. However, I waited 2.5 hours in a full waiting room to be seen and was continually bumped down the list as other patients came in. Whilst I appreciate I was perhaps less urgent, spending 2.5 hours in an unventilated room at this time is not ideal. No window was open and two people were not wearing masks.

Efficiency- I am breastfeeding and have a three month old baby Spacing of seats Ensure all people in waiting room are wearing masks and monitor this Generally I felt the covid security was not as good as needed- this was a concern for me as my husband is clinically vulnerable

I loved the ‘booking of a time slot’ which meant I was in and out and home within an hour. The staff all knew their roles in the Safety process which meant it went smoothly.

If I was being really picky it would be that when I was told to return in 2 days time for a dressing change I wasn’t told any detail (which I asked on the way out) e.g. did I have to hook, could I just show up etc
