As a health professional myself, I was appalled by the total lack of empathy and privacy. The paramedic I saw came to the waiting area and;
1. Didnt even attempt to say my name. I know it is long and 'foreign' but at least try. They merely assumed it was me ( assuming based on my looks / race) and came and asked me what my name was.
2. Proceeded to talk about my x-ray results whilst still in the waiting room and asked me to stand so they could see for themselves that I couldn't weight -bare. All this in front of other patients.
3. After satisfying himself that I was struggling, he told me that he would see me but my x-ray was clear ( I.e. no fractures/ breaks). This dissmissive attitude was totally unnecessary given that I patiently waited for my turn to be seen.
4. After a very rushed consultation, I was given crutches and a 30 second instruction on how to use them before being ushered on my way out. I proceeded to hop my way down the corridor. Crutches aren't as easy to use as they appear !
Such a pity because everyone else I encountered was so kind.
Aside from the abrupt staff attending the a&e entrance, the long wait to receive my x ray results and the rude nurse taking my temperature pre X-ray, the process was excellent.
All very good. Was told about the long wait and the nurse triaging despite being very busy kept everyone informed and was seen to quickly
They were very efficient and thorough. Thank you.
Really happy with my experience with the physio Daniel martins very helpful and understanding.
Cleanliness was not applicable on this occasion as it was a video call
Really good service and the doctor i saw was very nice and understanding. Everyone is doing an amazing job
‘Spring in the Air’
I woke up at 5 this morning
To the birds singing in the trees
I laid back in my sack with my ears pinned back
Like a concert with no entry fees
The silence was Golden
With that lick of clean spring air
Just the song from a Thrush and her mates it was lush
They were Two metres apart to be fair
The morning dew on the grass
Then the blue sky just appeared
Not a cloud in sight now the birds songs slight
Like a support act for the gig we cheered
For a moment in these sad times
I was free from all the hype
The negative news and the smouldering fuse
That seems to be smoked in a not peace pipe
I thought long about my family
My lovely mother dearest friends some foe
My gorgeous son and his incredible mum
Let this virus turn around and go !
My work colleagues my lovely neighbours
Did they hear the same as me
With the early song birds not short on words
Chirping from the top of the trees
For what is going on out there
This morning’s gig instilled great vibes
We are safe at home like a dog with a bone
For our NHS we are full of pride
Hats off to all our Posties
On the front line been selected
From our young and old some all alone
They help keep us all connected
Hats off to these volunteers
Like worker Bees to their queens fresh hive
They now take to the zone not a hint of a drone
To help keep our human race alive
What heart and pride they show
Please all return fit and well
We can all reflect show pure respect
Let’s pray there’s no sequel !

‘Pride Inside’
When you parents wake up this morning
Please open your eyes with pride
Feel eternally proud of each other
With what’s going on deep inside
Its people like you both
Who give everyone a chance
Now your prodigy steps into your shoes
With their shields to take a stance
They have worked and studied hard for this
Their training will see them through
They will face their fears with inner Cheers
Like both of you will too
Sit tight stay safe yourselves
Because now they have set the tone
As the days go by they will acclimatise
They are now in their comfort zone
Surrounded by their team mates
They now know just what’s in store
They will all rise to their personal prize
Saving not one life but many more
So when you’re sat at home together
In your hearts deep down you knew
With their standout claims for no personal gains
They are just like Me and You !

‘ THANK YOU OUR’
‘NHS’
Hats off to you our NHS
Our Paramedics and Frontline Nurses
Our Doctors and our Surgeons
Who are now facing viral curses
You go out to your work daily
As one United medical team
You all play your parts with your Purple Hearts
Staff and treatment brilliant, staffing levels prevents a timely response time, so much time spent sitting there which does not help dedicated Doctors and Nurses.
