I was most grateful for the support worker who came to see me, it was greatly appreciated, a friendly and sympathetic voice gestures, gave me a chance t keep knowing that the observer understood.
My husband attended the day hospice. It was a wonderful, caring, calm environment. I felt confident, from the first day, in leaving him. We both thought the staff were professional, caring and loving. The building is excellent and he said the food was good. My husband is in a wheelchair now and as soon as we drove up to the door a nurse came out with a chair to help him get into the hospice. It's simple things like that which helps lower the stress for terminally ill patients and their carers. As a long term carer it was wonderful to be treated with such respect and dignity.
I could not have asked for better treatment from St. Peter's hospice staff.
The care and empathy was outstanding.
I thank them all for their help in caring for my dad.
Just good to have someone to talk to and ask questions re-case.
Illness Ect
It stopped me from self harming and helped with my anger.
We were also pleased with the help and care shown to us, the family, whilst looking after excellently my husband.
At the moment we are having home visits.
We get excellent support we need from community nurse.
For my in patient visit lasting of days I received first class care and attention from all the staff and volunteers dealing with my case. I felt relaxed and ease in the delightful premises and surroundings. There is nothing from my whole experience that I would change.
The support given by all the staff especially Collete Mapley has been outstanding.
It has really helped us cope with our devastating situation.
