I met up with Irene shortly after my husband's death as I felt I needed help to come to terms with the loss. The sessions gave me time and space to express my feelings and help me to begin to accept a life without Rod. I started to talk about putting into place achievable goals for the future. I know I am just beginning on this journey of living without Rod and the feelings of loss will in time subside. I am so grateful to Irene who has shown me care, compassion and understanding during the first few months following Rod's death.
I cannot thank St. Peter's Hospice enough for all the support and loving care that Rod received before he died when he attended the Day Care Centre. The Doctors and Nursing Staff are truly wonderful.
