St Mary's hospital is my local hospital. I have nothing but praise for the hospital and staff, my dad who was seriously ill was treated with such dignity & respect. The staff in A & E on the day my dad died, words can't express how they made this whole experience as if there was no other people around . Nothing was rushed, everything was explained he had a peaceful death with caring staff who supported us as a family and whole involved my mother who was housebound in the decisions . By phoning her on 3 occasions that day . I myself & my mother attend clinics at st Mary's staff are great . With hospital clinic's run late I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THIS. I'm sad that so many don't .

I had no problems with the care provided for me by nurses doctors and associates during my time at the hospital.

Our son was admitted to the Great Western Ward at St Marys in November 2013 after initially being treated in A&E. The care he received both in A&E and on the ward was fantastic - the nurses and the doctors looked after him with great care and attention. We felt that we could trust them completely and feel very fortunate to have had the care of such a great team.

St Mary's did everything that could be asked of them and I was impressed with their courtesy and efficiency. I would be more than happy to go back again if it became necessary.

The hospital ward I stayed in (Witherow) was kept very clean and the ward nurses were almost universally caring, kind and compassionate. Despite staff shortages at the weekends those on duty worked untiringly to meet the needs of all patients with utmost speed. They always attended patients with a smiling manner and were very committed and professional. These nurses made my stay in hospital far less traumatic than it would have otherwise have been. I would rate the ward nurses as the best and most hardworking I have come across in any hospital. A special mention goes to Staff Nurses Milan and Surima who went the extra mile to raise my spirits and make my stay comfortable. The catering staff are also extremely kind here, although the food is not of a high quality.
