It's difficult to praise the staff at Ashwood highly enough. Being diagnosed with HIV is a traumatic experience and during all of my appointments there I felt completely safe and well taken care of. The staff are always friendly and professional, and the fact that the staff turnover appears to be very low (I've been treated by the same senior nurse since I was diagnosed 4 years ago) means I can trust the people I am dealing with and can build up relationships with them. This would not be the case if I was seeing a different doctor or nurse every time I visited. I've heard some horror stories from other HIV-positive people in different parts of the country and I am so glad that I am being looked after by the Ashwood Centre.
