My mother was seen by the Older Persons Falls team. They were absolutely fantastic and my mother felt well cared for and supported throughout. They clearly explained each procedure and gave her time to make adjustments, so she felt more comfortable. The consultant communicated clearly and at a level mum could understand. The plan going forward was person centred and addressed her needs. A big thank you to the clinical and non clinical team who all made mum feel so welcomed.

At the time of my appointment, for the consultation, not the surgery, the waiting room was full and busy. I did not have to wait long and was dealt with by the reception quickly and effiently and friendly. The surgery was performed at Gosport War Memorial Hospital, not listed here. I also received good service here.

I see doctor Heston, and I have never felt so comfortable and confident in the company of a doctor like I did with Heaton. He was an absolute credit to St Mary’s, and understood everything I told him and took action immediately. I don’t think I’ve met a better doctor. He was very efficient. Thank you so much!

Review of Portsmouth Maternity Centre (antenatal)

Because we enjoyed our time here last time and the information gave to us was very useful and would like that to be known

Suggested improvements
The door locking system can sometimes take a long time till you are let in and that can get tedious for pregnant women to have to stand.

I was seen very promptly having identified a potential skin problem on my head. Dr Heaton gave me a full body appraisal to ensure that there were no other sources of cancerous problems, which was a bonus. The surgery itself was not in any way uncomfortable, and was very efficient. The only improvement I could suggest would be to sign the building more visibly as Dermatology, as on my first visit I toured the perimeter of the car-park looking for Block D! This of course is no criticism of Dr Heaton or the staff of Block D!

I was the first one to be seen. Receptionist heard complaing about Monday Mornings. Triage nurse slightly aggressive. To my culture definitely aggressive. I am Mediterranean. When she saw no bruise or swelling to my left foot she was not interested. I am registered blind, she isn't. Asked if she wanted to compare with other foot, she wasn't interested. Tried to explain the pain, was treated like I was a waste ofher time. BUT I PAY HER SALARY. AND I HAD NEVER BEEN TO THE ST MARY s TREATMENT CENTER BEFORE. No need for x rays. Tore a ligament, bad luck nothing she could do. Advised totake lots of ibobrufen. I am feeling worse after a day teaching. Tried to suggest she wrote something to placate my boss to say I should work from home but she acted last she was deaf. Felt like saying If you hate patients change your job or go back where u come from (Australia? ). Tried to pin MY ISSUE down to my anxiety but it hurts and it's real. Seemed very worried to ascertain N EVENT who wasof injury instead of THINKING: lady you are registered blind, there might be no incident I you can recall. I feel so down having treated like an idiot, faking it, mental health freak with no consideration of THE IMPACT FINDING DIFFICULT TO WORK MIGHT HAVE ON MY DIDABILITY AND WORK PLACE. I have to work for a living and unlike this triage nurse I have a high empathy for my clients. Please from the receptionist to the nurse, change your job. You are not owned a living. Thankyou

Following a couple of appointments in the Dermatology Department, I would like to show my appreciation. They are highly professional, friendly and caring - the NHS at its very best. Thank you.
