The Nurses on Ward B5 were excellent both pre and post operatively when I had a clavicle repair surgery in Jan 2017. Despite some of the other patients on my ward being rather troublesome, the Nurses treated them with patience and respect and managed to maintain a great sense of humour. Thank you to all the team there for looking after me.

Unacceptable staffing levels when it comes to nursing and hospital porters. Patients left sitting in their own faeces for 1-2 days. Night shift nurses regualry taking 20+ mins to respond to patient requests for assistance. After a CAT Scan waited over an hour in the corridor of the main hospital for a porter to take my bed upto the ward (whilst on Oxgen - with a nurse nowhere to be seen) If I had the option I would certainly chose to have my operation in another hospital in future.

My grandma was very anxious and worried when she was taken by ambulance to the emergency department but all the staff there were great, in particular the doctors. Due to her age they had to arrange quite a few tests, which were all done very quickly and the staff kept my grandma up to date with what would happen and when. All the staff were friendly and very kind to her, despite the fact you could see how busy they all were, a fantastic group of caring people.

Turned up to Orthdontist on a Monday morning as my sons brace had come away from the tooth, the reception staff were really friendly and helpful and my son was seen within 15 minutes without an appointment, the Orthadontist Rachel was really polite, helpful and professional, thank you.

I was treated very well when I was received in the theatres. The reception downstairs was a bit of disappointment. There were a few fo us awaiting surgey. I sat around for a long time after check in and wasnt informed over a period of time when roughly I would be called, similar situation with the others. The ladies at the desk just chated among themselves.

Review of Assisted Conception Unit (St Helier) written by a patient

Arrived early to ensure we don't waste any of the hospitals time. Instead the hospital has wasted mine waiting over 30 mins to be seen. I feel it is fortunate patients are not able to claim loss of earnings against the nhs
