I despise this hospital and there policy's, my issue is that as a non smoker I was constantly exposed to over 15 other people who were vaping, and I was ill from breathing in the constant cloud of smoke. I could not escape from it, But smoking in hospital is actually allowed, its illegal everywhere else but legal in there. As a protest I smashed the ward up every day poured milk all over the floor, smashed glass, and the fire doors. Kicked holes in the walls and ripped all the pictures and notice boards off the wall.i hate that hospital.

A certain ward was hopeless. Staff were to busy wanting to be noticed. They would speak to you but just repeated the same questions to you when they asked you anything. Kept asking how you are even though you told them then they didn't seem to do anything and then again they just asked you the same thing again. Ward was so noisy with the patients who someone was playing loud music after 9:00pm at night yet the staff never seemed to tell them not to. Other patients shouting at each other and the staff just sat there watching it. Not a great deal of help not a great deal of peace or anything to be honest. The hospital is not a place to get anywhere and that is for anyone who has mental illness. They put people in here on sections yet the people are then going in to Morpeth and out shopping so if they are doing that when their mental illness is improving then why are they still in hospital.

Hopeless if you are suffering with any kind of mental illness of any discription. Its that simple. Nothing more worth writing about the place.

THIS HOSPITAL WAS THE VERY FIRST HOSPITAL OF THIS KIND THAT I HAD BEEN IN AND I FOUND IT UNBELIEVABLE AT THE WAY IN WHICH I WAS TREATED BY PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY WERE THERE TO HELP YOU. TRYING TO FIND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT THE ILLNESS YOU WERE TOLD YOU HAVE WAS UNREAL I WAS TOLD ALL SORTS OF DIFFERENT DIAGNOSISES WHICH I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THEN AND STILL DON'T NOW AFTER A DECADE OF FIRST STEPPING FOOT INSIDE THIS PLACE BUT I WAS NOT JUST THERE ONCE I HAVE HAD FIVE ADMITTANCES HERE AND NEVER GOT ANYTHING IN THE WAY OF 'HELP' OR THE DIAGNOSIS I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE STAFF WERE DISGUSTING TOWARDS MY RELATIVES WHO CAME TO VISIT ME AND EVEN SAID WHAT ARE YOU COMING TO VISIT YOUR RELATIVE FOR NOBODY COMES TO VISIT PEOPLE HERE. I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN IN THIS HOSPITAL BUT NOT THE NEW PART LIKE I WAS IN AND THERE OPINION ABOUT THIS HOSPITAL WAS THE SAME. THERE IS LACK OF EVERYTHING FROM STAFF, AND PATIENT'S REGARDLESS OF YOUR ILLNESS ARE TREATED AWFUL AND SPOKEN DOWN TO BY LIKE I SAID PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO CARE. MY WORDS TO ANYONE WHO HAS A FAMILY MEMBER EXPERIENCING MENTAL ILLNESS IS KEEP AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL AND GO ELSEWHERE AS THIS HOSPITAL WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF 24.5 MILLION POUND WHEN THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE CAN'T DO NOTHING FOR YOU. I SHOULD KNOW AS I HAVE BEEN IN THE PLACE.
