The care provided is for my husband. I know that he is more than grateful for the help and support given to him. Unfortunately, because I still have to work for financial reasons, albeit on a part-time basis, I have only seen our palliative care nurse twice. I found her to be very compassionate and caring but sometimes I feel I could do with an 'understanding ear' myself. A phone call just now and again would mean a lot to me, just to see if I'm coping okay. As it is my husband who is sick, I sincerely hope I don't come across as being selfish.
