The nurse allocated to me was lovely, very caring and considerate. The hospital was spotless. Booking in was easy an there were no delays in being allocated my bed for day surgery. I was treated with respect and dignity at all times. I was just disappointed that the anaesthetist was late arriving at the theatre after explaining to her that I had hard damaged chemo veins that were extremely painful. After several attempts by another anaesthetist and my hand filling with fluid, the anaesthetist that visited me on the ward arrived. After another couple of attempts (5 in total) I was finally asleep in tears and in excruciating pain. I felt very let down after the anaesthetist in the ward made a point of pointing out to me how experienced she was and then wasn’t at the theatre when I arrived. I felt like a pin cushion!
