The spire Wellesley Southend is a really good hospital, I have had several procedures here and the care has been fantastic. I had a totally knee replacement September 2021 the procedure and care was great the only one criticism of the actual ward I have is I was put into a lovely room over looking the grounds but unfortunately it was a very hot period of September and the window to my room would not open and there is no air conditioning ! I did ask about moving rooms but was told there was none available. Considering we are in the middle of Covid pandemic and are told to ventilate rooms I found this quite stressing. I was given a small fan but unfortunately this didn’t really help much. I would still highly recommend this hospital because the nursing care is brilliant
