I had a simple Cystostomy and insertion of the tube into the bladder. My consultant completed the operation and I returned home that day, late afternoon. However the Spire bill was over 6 (yes, six) times the cost of my consultant who did most of the work. Spire provided a bed room for me to get ready, the room where the operation happened, under local anaesthetic, and the bed room for a little bit of recovery time. I have queried the Spire cost as no break down has been received and am still waiting a response.
