was treated with the upmost of care
My son received great care when he came to hospital. We were kept well informed and were seen very quickly and I would definitely recommend Prince Modayil and the hospital to others.
Preparation for discharge should involve adequate pain management for the patient. The surgery is major as a result pain thresh hold may vary from patient to patient .
I had my fibroids removed by professor Isaac Manyonda last Monday. Professor Manyonda did a fantastic job. His advice on how to recover is also brilliant. There was no complications post operation. The other staff at the theatre and St George's ward were very good too. Thank you so much, Professor Manyonda.
The sister in the ward was rarely in evidence. The nursing standards varied, and at night I gather was not always efficient. the food was of poor quality. My wife was not given treatment when expected and the nurses seemed very overworked
Personally, I have been in King Edward VII (Sister Agnes) Hospital 4 times and there is no comparison in every respect. St Anthony's does not compare well.
I have in the past been in St Anthony's myself and it has deteriorated, although the outpatients does seem reasonably efficient.
There seems to be no joined up care at the hospital; one has to rely on individuals and the hospital itself seemed to do very little.
Wow! I had major surgery @st Anthony hospital. I have been well looked after by the staff. I cannot thank them enough for their care, help and patience. A massive thank you to Professor Isaac Manyonda and the nurses @St Theresa Ward
I came to this hospital last Friday for a heart ablation, and was very impressed with all aspects of the care and treatment I received. Couldn't fault it, thanks to all the staff.
.
All was very good. I did however find that one or two of the night staff were a little abrupt and not so caring, it was more about getting the job done.one nurse gave me my blood thinning jab and caused an horrendous bruise on my stomach lasting a good 3 weeks, it was also very painful whereas all the others were virtually pain free.
I thought this hospital frankly pretty awful. I could not see the point in paying for this. This was not up to the level of good NHS care, let alone what you might expect from an NHS hospital. Very poor care and a complete lack of information for relatives. No security. Cleanliness not great, crumbs on bedside table from a previous patient when my father went in for multi bypass surgery. He was rather forgotten about by staff, even though he has a lung condition aswell. Compared to St Georges this is very poor.
